Pima 28 is an organic design at the foot of the Santa Catalina Mountains near Tucson, Arizona. Designed as a spec house it was vital to meet competitive building cost yet create a distinctive style. Careful structural design allowed for curving soft forms within in the context of linear framing systems. The split bedroom plan was very successful and was sold long before the home was finished.
The design anticipated the future addition of pools, Jacuzzis and outdoor living spaces. Because the home was purchased before completion the owner was able to put their own signature finishing touches to the exterior.
To maximize serenity and available views, large glazed windows were featured with an uncluttered design.
Curving lines and a nature organic feel were emphasized throughout the house.
